SEPTEMBER START FOR WEEKLY THURSDAY NIGHT ADVANCED WRITING TRAIN workshop, (2.5 – 2.75 hours p.w) for developing writers of fiction, poetry, non-fiction and drama. Start date 22 Sept. Join a crew at a terrific standard who create a wonderfully warm atmosphere in their weekly meetings. 14 sessions to early January, €350. Venue: City Arts Centre Bachelors’ Walk.


5-WEEK “FRIDAY NIGHT WRITING BOOTCAMP” by the sea, starts 26 AUGUST
. Short course of kick-starts, encouragement and all-round “Get going!” advice and materials for complete beginners in the fun, book-filled and comfortable environment of your teacher’s house in Glasthule, near Sandycove. Short, invigorating and still gently paced course. FEE: €145 POSSIBILITY OF FOLLOW-ON TERM GIVEN DEMAND.

WEDNESDAY MORNING WRITING TRAIN

Another wonderful long-term workshop, this session welcomes new members continually and supports mainly writers of prose, long and short, and some poetry. It goes into a new autumn term on SEPT 14th. 14 sessions, fee €350.  Venue: United Arts Club, Fitzwilliam Street.

AUGUST -SEPTEMBER DEVELOPING WRITER TUESDAYS class and workshop: starts AUGUST 26th. A short course of 5 TUESDAYS for an intensive and focused creative boost, this course combines workshop and tailored craft inputs for writers with some experience and some idea of their aims. 2.5 hour classes, FEE €145 South City Centre near Westland Row Dart.

SEPTEMBER START TO WRITE MONDAY NIGHTS: starts 19 SEPTEMBER, 2 hour class, 10 weeks, €250

A short course of kick-starts, encouragement, challenges, and all-round “Get going!” advice and reading materials for complete beginners or those returning to writing after a long break, in the lovely surroundings of the City Arts Centre in Bachelors’ Walk.

Bray Fortnightly Writing Train new term: Starts SEPT 21th. 10 x 2 hour sessions over 20 weeks in Signal Arts Centre with Community Arts-friendly reduced fee of €210.

Dublin Fortnightly Writing Train new term: SEPT 28st in south City Centre, 10 x 2.75 hour meetings, plus support for your writing spread over 20 weeks €270.

OCTOBER:

DEVELOPING POET SATURDAYS: 1 OCT weekly Saturday afternoon poetry workshop plus ‘bespoke’ class focusing on your craft questions resumes for a short autumn term of 8 sessions of 2.5-2.75 hour sessions over 10 weeks. €215
