Updated Inishbofin Jaunt Timetables: to maximise free time alongside writing activities!
Start or end your summer with a Writing Break in an Irish paradise!
7.30 p.m boat departing Cleggan on Friday evening June 12th/ Sept 2nd gets you to Bofin at 8.15. I’ll meet you on pier. Our bags will be taken to our accommodation and we’ll have an orientation meeting in Day’s bar. Here, I’ll give you info and inspiration pack plus advice on walks and bike hire. (First five to book will also be staying with me at our venue, the GALLEY retaurant and B and B, if that suits you).
Saturday will be a free day until 3 p.m. During this day there will be the (optional extra) opportunity for 5 participants max to go through recent work with me 1 – 1 in half hour meetings. Our first class and workshop will take place at 3 p.m. This will be followed directly by a low-key Open Reading together, plus a chance for an aperitif and light snack, in the Galley cafe. Directly after this, on Saturday night, we’ll eat together. Classes/ workshops on Sunday will run: 11.30 – 1.30 and 3 – 5.30. Class on Monday will run 10 – 12.15. If it is imperative that you be back in Dublin on Monday night after September weekend, we will link up drivers with non-drivers, in advance, and hope in that way to make the 5 p.m ferry on Monday a feasible option for most. We recommend if at all possible staying on on the island for Monday night, however, to extend your peaceful island getaway experience!
A small number of places on JUNE WEEKEND will be available for people who must leave Bofin on 9 a.m ferry on Monday. These places will cost €190 in place of full fee of €220.
I’d be delighted if you would forward this info to anyone you think might be interested. As accommodation is scarce on Bofin, if you’re interested, please contact me as soon as possible so we can make this weekend happen for you!
